Healthy by Nature

Dynamic Growth Seminars

Two women threw down a truckload of cardboard on a manicured lawn on a rain day in March. They covered it with rotted hay. Never lifting a shovel or spade, they were able to lift handfuls of rich soil full of earthworms by May. The planting was easy, and by June they had a lush garden that provided nutritious food all summer, and plenty more for freezing.

These two women understand that working efficiently with nature can extend to working efficiently with human nature. Drawing on many years of experience in the fields of homeopathy, psychology, and education these women facilitate workshops in much the same way they garden. They have come to understand that the process of growth doesn’t have to be backbreaking or laborious. It can actually be fun and rewarding. To them, sending leftovers from a meal, or sending emotions left over from reaction to a composting bin are similar actions producing relatively the same results…both eventually enrich your garden or your life.

Drs Jennifer Smith and Kathleen Farrar conduct 2 day intensive seminars with 5 to 7 people at a time. These workshops include working in small groups facilitated by Jennifer and Kathleen, and one on one with either Jennifer or Kathleen. The groups are designed to facilitate recognizing and removing energetic patterns or cycles of behavior that affect our mental, emotional or physical health and /or limit our potential and fullest Self expression. Time will be allotted for nature walks, meditation and contemplation. (Select workshops will include yoga sessions)

The setting is simple. The workshops are held on the Claris ground either under the old Oak tree, in the gardens, or in the living room of the 1912 farmhouse. Kathleen and Jennifer work to provide a nurturing atmosphere for each participant in much the same way they do for their flower and vegetable gardens, animals and orchards.

These workshops are called “Dynamic Growth” because they are designed to help people quickly change patterns of depression, guilt, anxiety, trauma, insecurity, anger, sadness, grief etc. Kathleen and Jennifer know from experience that tending to gardens and people with love and respect provides a positive growing environment.
